This Saturday November 13, Generation Enterprise,
will be holding a launch party at Shadow Room in DC. The event starts
at 8 pm and will feature a great fun crowd, drink specials and liquor
sponsors, amazing prizes raffled, and a celebrity DJ (from L2 lounge
in DC).

All proceeds will go to Generation Enterprise’s work
incubating sustainable businesses run by street youth in slum
communities in Africa and India. It’s a really innovative model
focused on homeless, unemployed, and underemployed youth, and our
board includes superstars like Yemisi Ransome-Kuti, founder of the
Nigerian Network of NGOs and cousin of afrobeat legend Fela Kuti.

It’s official: the applications for the Innovation Institute (formerly the Global Development Internship) are open! We are searching for America’s most ambitious, talented graduate and undergraduate students to catalyze social businesses that will change the world.

Innovation Institute Scholars immerse themselves in rural Kenya or South Africa, build partnerships, and launch businesses that benefit the surrounding community. Ultimately, they apply to receive a ThinkImpact Fellowship, and if selected they receive stateside business training in our 9-month Impact Incubator and return to grow their venture.

The Knapp Fellowship for Entrepreneurial Service-Learning is a new fellowship, endowed by President Steven and Diane Knapp, to make it possible for exceptional GW students to bring creative entrepreneurial service concepts into practice that align with their academic goals.
